Freelance menu design in Malaysia starts from about RM300. The difference is in the menu review: a designer who only lays out your list cannot tell you which dishes to move.

Guests spend about as long on a menu as on a phone screen. They look at the top of each page, the boxed items and the photos first. We put your best-margin dishes there and keep the rest easy to scan by category.

We also design for Malaysian service. Dish numbers speed up ordering at busy lunch hours. Trilingual names help tourists and older guests. A QR menu needs larger type and fewer columns than a printed one, so we design it separately rather than shrinking the print file.

Who we design menus for

Restaurants, cafes, bakeries, bubble tea shops and food courts across the Klang Valley and Penang. For a new outlet, our restaurant branding kit and cafe branding kit cover logo, menu and launch materials together. Need a logo first? See logo design. Ready to start? Get a quote.

Questions clients ask before they hire us

How much does menu design cost in Malaysia?

Our menu design costs RM800 to RM3,000. A single-page cafe menu sits at the low end, and a multi-page restaurant menu in three languages with a QR version at the high end. Freelance menu design in Malaysia starts from about RM300.

How long does menu design take?

One to two weeks from receiving your dish list and prices. Add a few days if we need to arrange food photography, and three to five working days for printing.

Can you design a QR or digital menu?

Yes. We design a mobile version of your menu that opens from a QR code on the table, sized to read on a phone without zooming. We can supply it as a PDF, as images, or as artwork for the QR ordering system you already use.

Can you prepare my menu for GrabFood and foodpanda?

Yes. We prepare dish photos, category banners and store artwork in the sizes GrabFood, foodpanda and ShopeeFood ask for, so your delivery listing matches your dine-in menu.

Can you mark halal, vegetarian and allergen items?

Yes. We use a small set of clear icons for halal, vegetarian, spicy and common allergens, with a key on every page. Only use halal claims your kitchen and suppliers can support, and only use the JAKIM halal logo if your premises are certified.

What is menu engineering?

Menu engineering means placing and pricing dishes so guests notice the ones that earn you the most. We work from your margins to decide what goes in the top-right of a spread, what gets a photo and what gets a box, and drop currency signs and price columns that push guests to compare.

Can you design the menu in English, Malay and Chinese?

Yes. We lay out bilingual and trilingual menus so each language stays readable, and check dish names with a native reader before print.
